Volunteers are Important!

Volunteer help is necessary in order for CHS to continue our current programs and assist in other necessary ways . . .

Your time and talents are needed to socialize, walk, and train animals, perform general office tasks, and help with fund raising, publicity, and/or public education — to name just a few.

A few hours of your time will make a difference. If you love animals and can spare as little as one morning or afternoon per week, our animals need you!

On-site volunteers, supervised by a paid staff person or experienced volunteer, provide food, water, brushing, love and attention to our animals, and assist with cleaning kennels, washing dishes and laundry, and changing litter boxes and bedding.

We also need volunteers that are willing to go hands-on with the funding side of things. Are you interested in joining our Saturday fundraising group? Do you have new ideas or ways that we could improve on our current funding?
The group meets a couple of Saturdays every month from 9–11am at the Fresh Start Espresso in St Helens. Call 503-438-5726 for more info.
