Foster Pets
We have sveral animals currently in foster care in private homes that are available for adoption. Often animals brought to the shelter are not quite ready to live in the shelter environment. This could be due to being very young or rather old, being immediately post surgical procedure, or being quite feral, and needing more intensive care than is available in the shelter. These animals enter into foster care in private homes, where they receive that special intensive care. As they become older, more stabilized, or more social they are soon ready for adoption. Sometimes foster parents prefer to have them go directly to their adoptive homes rather than making an interim stop at the shelter. We thank our wonderful foster families for providing this invaluable service.
