Don't throw away your empty ink jet, laser
cartridges or cell phones. CHS is currently participating in a national
ink jet, laser cartridge and cell phone recycling program. CHS will receive
$1.00 - $12.00 for empty cartridges and $2.50 for each digital cell phone.
The community can greatly contribute in this effort by turning their trash
into cash for CHS. Please save your empty cartridges and cell phones and
ask your neighbors, family, friends and co-workers to give you theirs.
This program not only helps CHS raise much needed funds, but also promotes
the environmental benefits of recycling by encouraging end users of
cartridges and cell phones to help keep these items out of landfills.
We are asking for your help. All it requires is for you to save some trash,
which we can turn into cash. Please save your empty ink jet and laser printer
cartridges and old cell phones for us to recycle.
Details: Today there are more than 250
different ink jet cartridges on the market. We can turn most of them in for cash.
However, there are a few styles we can't send for payment.
A general rule for ink jet cartridges is that we only accept the styles, which can
be recycled. That means that the cartridge will have some type of electronic circuitry
(copper strips or visible electronic circuits) somewhere on the cartridge.
“Throwaway” styles are those which do not have any circuitry and are not recyclable.
We DO NOT accept any cartridges made by or for EPSON ink jet printers because
all Epson ink jet cartridges are "throwaway styles." We also do not accept certain
obsolete cartridges, which cannot be sold due to their very small number of end users.
Since we accept most of the other styles, we find it easier
to give you a list of ink jet cartridges we do not accept.

(both inkjet and lasers) as well as cell phones.
